“La notte della taranta” is the biggest music festival of the area, born in 1998 to promote the traditional music of Salento.
The festival takes place during the month of august in various squares of the area: it starts from Corigliano d’Otranto and culminates with the big concert in Melpignano in which internationally renowned artist participate every year.
Over a hundred thousand people experience the big concert every year: it is an unforgettable experience for who loves music and wants to meet the deepest roots of our land.
A concert master is nominated every year to arrange our traditional music’s sounds together with rhythms coming from other musical traditions. The result is an unmissable experience.
